History (2nd-4th) (2nd period)


The Mystery of History Volume III Student Reader continues the spectacular and provocative study of world history from the viewpoint of a Christian author. Spanning the Renaissance, Reformation, Exploration, and some early American history from 1450-1700, this volume explores the backdrop to and the significance surrounding the time-honored contributions found in art, music, literature, science, and philosophy of this rich era. The Mystery of History also provides supplemental  hands-on/research activities, memory card ideas, maps, historical fiction book lists & more.  Class time will bring to life through engaging and memorable games & activities the lessons read at home during the week.

Prerequisites: None 
Expectations: This is an overview to introduce history and get children engaged from a young age in HIS story. At home reading assignments of 1-2 chapters will take an estimated 20-30 minutes/week.
