Introduction to Literature (2nd-3rd) (6th period)

This class aims to fuel a love of great literature, as well as provide a rich foundation for students in approaching and analyzing what they are reading. Travel the world through delightful literature! Introduce your child to world geography and culture with award-winning literature.

Our goal in Introduction to Literature is to expose the students to some of the best books and to let stories ignite and inspire a love of learning. Through discussion and class activity, we hope to foster curiosity, delight and to develop a deep relationship with the text and its characters. Course Expectations: Students in Introduction to Literature will be asked to complete the reading in preparation for the week’s discussion and activities. There might be a handful of activities or assignments throughout the year that will need to be completed at home. I will also include some optional extras for home in order to enhance their experience of the novel.
