Functional Fitness (4th period)


The class with entail a variety of functional fitness to prepare athletes for lifelong sport and play through pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. Classes will include practice of skills focusing on safe, quality movement, an opportunity to test our skills at high intensity, and fun games.  Domains include cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.  Workouts are scalable, so each participant is challenged just enough to deliver measurable results and personal athletic progress. We will sprinkle in character and life skills including working hard, perseverance, personal responsibility, accepting feedback, working with others, following rules, etiquette, etc.

Prerequisites: None
Expectations: Light hand weights, yoga mat, exercise clothes.
